WHERE WE HAVE BEEN
Generations Church launched on November 4, 2006 with a heart to close the gaps between the generations in church ministry. We truly have a desire to see all ages worship together and minister with one another.We want our children to be seen and heard, our youth to be examples, to be looked up to, and our adults serving God with passion; leading their families with God's blueprint for their life in mind. We have an atmosphere where you can be yourself and grow in your relationship with God.

In November of 2007, we moved our services to the Science Spectrum. With worshiped there for a year and three months and we some exciting growth. We moved from having services on Saturday and Tuesdays to finally being like a "Real Church", with services on Sunday Mornings and Connect Groups throughout the week.

In February of 2009, we moved from the Science Spectrum to 3838 – 50th. This great location in the center of Lubbock has provided for great opportunities to minister to the city of Lubbock. We now feel like a “REAL CHURCH” that can be available to our community. We have greatly expanded out nursery, children’s, and youth ministries.

OUR MISSION

 BRIDGE: a structure built over a depression or obstacle for use as a passgeway.

In between each generation there are many gaps. . . an age gap, a music gap, a dress gap, a language gap. At GENERATIONS CHURCH we believe that these gaps can be bridged.

Where is the beauty of the older reaching back to the younger and the younger reaching out to the older. At GENERATIONS CHURCH we are committed to BRIDGING the generational gaps that exist between the generations through life changing teachings from the WORD OF GOD, cutting edge WORSHIP and life altering OUTREACH.

WHERE WE ARE GOING

At Generations we believe that gaps should not exist between the generations.  Where is the beauty of the older reaching back to the younger and the younger reaching out to the older?  We are committed to winning this generational challenge and building a link between the generations. Through relevant teachings and cutting edge worship we close in the gaps between the ages.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things; that He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; and that He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths.

We believe that mankind was created in the image of God but through voluntary disobedience he sinned and fell; that sin separates each of us from God and His purpose for our lives; and that Jesus Christ is the only One who can reconcile us to God.

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; that He was crucified and died in order that we may be forgiven of all of our sins and be able to be in right relationship with God; that He was buried and rose again in three days to prove victory over death and to empower us in life.

We believe in the salvation of sinners through grace and faith; that salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human effort; and that we can receive forgiveness when we repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and confess that He is our Lord and Savior.

We believe that Jesus commands each believer to be baptized in water; that water baptism is not the means of salvation, but an act of worship and obedience following salvation; and that full-immersion (as opposed to "sprinkling") is the most accurate biblical demonstration.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit; that it is a separate experience from salvation and water baptism that initiates a decisively new awareness of the all-powerful presence of God working in one's life and usually involves one or more spiritual gifts; that it is a promise of our Heavenly Father to all believers; and that it is administered by prayer and the laying on of hands by another spirit-filled believer.

We believe that God has equipped each of us so that we can successfully achieve God's purpose for our lives which is to worship God, find and fulfill our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or Hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
